This course covers the fundamentals of annuities and explains how these products can generally be applied and used. Upon completion, course participants should be able to:

• Demonstrate an understanding of the purpose and application of annuities
• Describe basic types of annuity products
• Articulate how an annuity’s features can support various client objectives
• Demonstrate an understanding of how annuities are taxed
• Explain the requirements of annuity sales and recommendations that are in the consumer’s best interest in compliance with state standards
